I wasn't sure what to expect with the color, given that it was called Gray but really just looked like a platinum blonde color in the product photo. There is a slight hombre, with a shadow like route that extends about an inch and a half or 2 inches from the tape edge. The color is indeed a little strange. The hair itself it's just a platinum blonde, but the root almost looks lavender. Not crash blonde, not very light ash brown, really just a mauve color.That's all fine, after all I'm going to pair it with my own hair color and they tend to integrate pretty well. I don't use any additional glue, but that's a good idea if you want these to stay in reliably for longer periods of time.I just wanted a few put in near my face because I've had some breakage from lightening my hair and pulling it back into ponytails. For that purpose they work well, because I'm just using them to supplement in a few spots, what's in this package is sufficient. But if you are hoping to add lots of volume, or lengths all around your head, there really just isn't much hair in these packs. For the price I guess that's reasonable, but I think you could spend about the same amount of money and get thicker extensions. If you have decently thick hair, and want to add substantial length, I think you're likely to need at least three of these packs. The hair in these is just really fine and there isn't much of it. The texture is smooth, and works perfectly with my finer hair, just know that one pack a loan is probably not going to give you the volume you need.
