The adapter does what it promises, increases volume and bass and I really like it. However, it takes an hour and a half and 8 to 10 hours to fully charge. playing time before it needs to be recharged. You cannot turn it on while charging. The box it came in was badly torn at the front. Also like some other reviews, it didn't come with a charging cable or user guide, although it says so on the box. This makes the PS4 controller awkward to use if you have big hands like me. In general, the product works, but it is not needed, there are better alternatives.
