Review on 👟 Merrell Hydro Junior 2.0 Sandal, Unisex-Adult by Russell Robertson

These shoes look great and are well built. I like the EVA material for the summer because my son can get them really dirty and then I can quickly rinse them and they are like new. No dirt, no sweat, no stench I can't get rid of. They also cover his toes so he is less likely to hurt himself externally. So there are a lot of pros here, BUT the fit is a bit odd. I ordered size 7 for my 3 year old, the length and width of the shoes are perfect. There is enough space for all summer and early fall. But the strap doesn't close all the way, and my son's legs aren't wide at all. The tongue (made of fabric) is also too narrow, so it curls up and leaves marks on the feet. I don't know what they were thinking because there are so many nice touches and then they ruined it all with an inadequate closure and tongue cover. At least my son likes them but I wouldn't buy them again, or maybe I'd order wide ones even though he doesn't have wide feet. Not my favorite, wish Keen had still done her EVA style, couldn't find her this year. So! ETA: I placed the velcro closer to the inside of the clasp and it made them more comfortable. I used to have to tighten them tightly to close them securely and they hurt my son's feet. I do not recommend!
