When I first received these towels I was disappointed. The towels felt thin because they were thin and light. After using them I still didn't like them so I switched to other bath towels. After using onsen towels, my regular bath towels became heavy, bulky and awkward to use. I ended up donating my other towels to charity and ordering more of them. The bath towels are much larger than most bath towels and the bath towels are so big that my husband said he felt like he was drying himself with a blanket. The bath towel actually wraps completely around me twice, leaving just enough material to tie the ends together to hold it up (my chest is 36 inches). These towels are so absorbent it actually takes me less time to dry my hair. As they are so different from regular bath towels it took me a while to get used to them but now I will never go back to my other towels and highly recommend them!
