I originally bought these to be able to carry a bottle on my Pivot Mach 6 which doesn't have cage mounts. Eventually I gave up and just wore the CamelBack again. I recently used this setup to put an extra bottle on my fork leg during a mountain bike ride. The first 10 miles were fine but eventually I had to re-tighten the straps and also tighten the bolt in the cage which was loosening. After pushing everything back, I had no issues for the remaining 40+ miles of this particular trip. I'll probably put some LockTite on the cage bolts before my next ride, but I'll be using this again as it was a good way to carry as much water as possible for that ride.
