We have an SUV, which makes it a little harder to reach up and put skis on top. This rack is great because you can slide out the bottom to load and unload the skis. It was easy to install and only took about 15 minutes. We had no trouble fitting 5 pair of skis on it. It has a satisfying 'click' to know you've closed the bar over the skis. The design is good and it seems well-made. The only problem we have had is when it is below freezing, you can't extend the rack out to load or unload skis. I suppose that is a function of weather, but something to be mindful of--especially if it is quite cold where you plan to go.
