I bought a flannel blanket and this voile to test before ordering more. The flannel is much heavier, much nicer, very soft and the size of these blankets can't be beat. My two year old sleeps in them at night and they are large enough to cover his shoulders to his feet. The voile blanket is much thinner, more like a gauze material. Slightly scratchy and completely transparent. I'm saving it for the July/August Texas baby swaddle, but unless you're looking for something super lightweight, spend a few bucks more and go for flannel.
