Non-breathable blankets and diapers

I have the impression that they are breathable and soft. It's definitely not breathable. My baby got too hot when changing.

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Good quality material.

Very good quality material from which the duvets are made. I like them because they are square and there are instructions on the blanket. Our baby isn't here yet but I'm sure they will work very well for the little one. I also liked all the suggestions that came with blankets.

Pros
  • Finished
Cons
  • Very expensive

Buckle up and wrap!

I had trouble finding the perfect swaddle blanket as most of them are so flimsy and cheap! It definitely made up for other purchases. I was glad I bought 2. The size and quality are very well made. I love her! Get more than one! They are worth buying.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Something different

Just the perfect weight and size

My granddaughter couldn't sleep without being swaddled tight. These SwaddleDesign blankets were the only ones the right size to wrap a strong, active baby tightly. We've found that lighter blankets don't work. My granddaughter lives in Southern California so at first I was worried the blankets would be too heavy, but after leaving them in a diaper we found that they didn't overheat. I highly recommend these lightweight flannel blankets to anyone trying to comfort a picky baby!

Soft and big - a little heavy

I bought a flannel blanket and this voile to test before ordering more. The flannel is much heavier, much nicer, very soft and the size of these blankets can't be beat. My two year old sleeps in them at night and they are large enough to cover his shoulders to his feet. The voile blanket is much thinner, more like a gauze material. Slightly scratchy and completely transparent. I'm saving it for the July/August Texas baby swaddle, but unless you're looking for something super lightweight, spend…

I love this blanket! best in bedding

We have been using this blanket since day one in the hospital, it was a lot easier to swaddle our baby in than the heavier flannel blankets you get in the hospital. We had a hard time wrapping a standard hospital blanket, but this one is the perfect size. The child was quickly changed and soothed. It's flannel so could be a bit warmer for warmer spring/summer weather. We made this blanket with Dr. Karp's "Happiest Kid on the Block" video and had great success. It's been washed a few times and…

Saved our minds! for bedding

This swaddle is larger than other swaddle wraps, making it more effective in creating a diaper that baby cannot escape from. We used it with information from The Happiest Child on DVD Block and it was the only thing that put our daughter to sleep for the first three weeks. No other reception/changing blanket was good because it could break out of the other blankets. She still prefers being wrapped in this blanket to sleep at night at 6 weeks. We had to buy three so we always had one on hand in…

Best swaddle blanket!

I received one of these swaddle blankets with my first baby over 15 years ago. After 6 kids, this is still my favorite changing table. We will be having our eighth child in the spring and I plan on buying a new one just to have an extra one. Flannel is best for grabbing when you're swaddling, and they're a nice size so you can wrap them around your body and still leave the bottom of the blanket open to let their little feet lay flat. They are made from flannel so are warm which is best for…

Excited to learn about swaddling technique

I am expecting twins, a boy and a girl, our first babies after many years of trying to conceive. So they are expected very happily and I really read a lot about how to take care of them. We live in South America, Uruguay, where I've never heard of swaddling and its benefits. I found a lot of information about threading on the internet, talked to pediatricians and definitely convinced myself to try this technique on our kids. Try this technique on your old teddy bear and I have to say it's very…
