While this hasn't helped clear my dryer vent, it's great for getting behind things in places that were previously inaccessible. I have a Dyson and they have a crevice tool with a flexible extension that you can use to get into hard to reach places, but this tool works too, plus it's longer and not as heavy. Now I can go behind the fridge and between the fridge and the cupboard, behind a bookcase that is too heavy, behind the desk and other places I couldn't get to before. not straighten as expected, I didn't have this problem. The tool came directly in a long box. It's flexible so you can get around corners, although you don't want to slide it around 90-degree corners as that would hinder suction. The included bracket allows for a good fit on the Dyson.
