I have previously purchased a product from another vendor on Amazon which turned out to have the exact same suction mechanism. I am very disappointed in this. It doesn't have the suction quality I was hoping for and it's just poorly made and constructed. When you take the soap out of the bowl, don't be surprised if the whole block falls out with it. I installed it on a smooth glass shower door, so there's no reason for such poor suction. The soap dish sits unevenly in its housing and kind of leans down making it look cheap and it just annoys me.
