My first Fero rod. I had no issues with the product, it took me a few physical adjustments to get sparks firing accurately. I appreciate the mounted handle which has medical hand issues making it really comfortable to manipulate and control. The reusable strap can save a life and I hope I never have to use it, but it fits great. The whistle doesn't work, but I didn't buy a whistle, I bought a rod with a handle! I studied tons of pipe instructions and quickly started lighting the thick wood I had gathered that morning. A very cool tool that helps me enjoy the process of making fire.
