Great product but Bluetooth remote shutter may not work with your phone

I love the look and weight of the tripod and you can't ignore its versatility; I love that I can wrap it around a lot of different things so the phone stays still in different conditions. The tripod also allows for plenty of forward and sideways movement, which is useful when shooting in tricky situations or when you just need a little adjustment to position the camera perfectly. The camera itself is easy to move if you need to tilt left and right or rotate up or down when shooting. I have already used a tripod through my cell phone and also with my digital camera. The tripod came in particularly handy for Facebook Live as it sat on top of a large shoe box on my desk. I was able to position the camera perfectly for a Facebook live stream and didn't have to worry about my phone falling while filming. You no longer need to support things in front of or behind your phone to avoid slipping or falling. I am very happy with this purchase and so far I am happy with the quality. Finding a red and black tripod is also an added bonus as most of my gear is red. I am disappointed that the remote shutter release does not work with my ZTE 958 phone. After several unsuccessful attempts to use the shutter release with my mobile phone's default settings, I installed the 360 Lite app created for this remote control, but only that Shutter worked for still images; it was totally useless for the video. The remote shutter also zoomed in on images and video footage when it should have just snapped a picture or enabled video capture. Maybe the remote shutter just isn't compatible with my phone, but it was weird that even after installing the 360 Lite app, pressing the button to take a picture didn't always "take" the picture. Again, the zoom feature activates on my phone and the remote shutter release isn't designed for that. The remote shutter needs to take pictures and enable/disable the capture function on your device. Unfortunately it doesn't work for me at the moment.

Pros
  • Sturdy design
Cons
  • Good but not great
