up to 9. Over the years I have bought many cat scratching posts or posts, some are expensive and some are cheap. Regardless of price or design, none of them have lasted me very long. Some of my cats really like scratching posts and some don't. I buy the ones they like a second time when they wear out. The Petmaker scratching post was a great success. Almost all cats use it. The price was right. It seems well made considering the cheap price. It was easy to assemble. The carpet above and below and the ropes aren't the thickest I've seen, but the cats love it. Will it last for years? I doubt it. Will it take 6 months? Hopefully. Will i buy it again? Absolutely!
