I've been using this electric toothbrush for over a year now. I bought the simplest version with no frills. I can never go back to a regular toothbrush. The electric toothbrush is very easy to use. After each brushing, my teeth seem a lot cleaner than with a regular toothbrush, and I'm sure it should offer a lot more plaque protection than regular toothbrushes. Of course, it should be used with regular dental floss and interdental brushes. However, when all three are combined, I'm sure dental health will improve significantly in the long term. During my last six-monthly professional teeth cleaning, the hygienist noticed that there was significantly less calcified plaque than in previous years, but there were still areas that needed special attention. So these toothbrushes need to be used properly and there are some great videos on YouTube showing how they should be used.
