The camera is more reliable than many others. I've tested seven others and this is by far the best. It never loses the Wi-Fi connection. (2.4GHz only) (If your modem/router only has 5GHz WiFi, you can always plug an old 2.4GHz WiFi router into it and connect to this 2.4GHz WiFi Make router.) Image quality is very good up close, but facial detail is somewhat reduced, but still good. Night vision is average. It captures movement and records every time. The Laview app is great! And you don't have to sign up for a cloud service at all, unlike most other cameras. A little familiar with the features but very reliable. I like recording or photo on request. You can always press the record button or take a screenshot. It saves directly to your phone, not just your micro SD cameras. You can register many of these cameras for surveillance in the app. I have 2 of these and enjoy watching both on the same screen. The camera performed well in temperatures of 7°F and in rain and heavy snowfall.
