The chair has been quite comfortable over its lifetime. I've had this chair for two years now. 6 months in a gas cylinder, he began to sink and generally stopped clinging. After about a year the foam in the armrest started to fall apart and started to crumble. Changing the cylinder was a pain. Eventually, after 2 years, the seat cushion became so flat and uncomfortable that I had to replace the chair entirely. I don't think I would recommend anyone to buy this chair at the moment. it caused too many problems in just 2 short years.
