Great product - clear setup instructions, fairly easy to get started. I used it for a 4TB drive on older MacBook Pros with FireWire 800. Significantly faster Time Machine backups compared to the previous FW 400 Lacie drive. Despite the low price, it comes with a full set of cables and has a 3.0A power supply for large drives. The aluminum housing is excellent for heat dissipation from high-performance 7200 RPM drives that can get very hot. It's also pretty much the only case in town that supports large drives for owners of older MacBook Pros with Fireware 800 interfaces. The only other option I've found is the Sans Digital, which has the same features at a slightly higher price offers. I've been buying parts from OWC for decades and I'm happy to see that they still support customers with older equipment. Please note that most older enclosures do not support drives larger than 2TB. OWC sells this case with a 10TB option, so I'm assuming the bare case will support those baddies as well.
