These scissors are excellent for yarn work such as crocheting or sewing. They have large sharp ends for cutting thread or straightening a seam. Never use them on paper it will ruin the blades for fabric applique, I never understood when my mum told me this but I know better now. I have some scissors that I used to sew with! When I recently wanted to do a project, I found that I didn't have anything to cut something out of fabric! That's partly why I have these little scissors. I also had to buy tailor's scissors, which were shorter due to arthritis.
