We use it for the sofa in our formal living room that is never used, so we don't worry about the durability. Instead we just tried to change the look of the room without buying a new sofa or spending a fortune on reupholstery. The photo on the packaging showed the lid to be in two pieces and inside were the four we ordered. The fabric doesn't seem to last long but we rarely sit on this sofa so it's fine for our purposes. The cover was a little tricky to put on (there were no instructions) but a youtube video helped (you need to start with a tab that says 'back' on the bottom right when you face the sofa. Once that point is set , everything else goes on without any problems ). Everything, it looks good, and when you accessorize it with throws and pillows, it actually looks pretty good.
