Lucidsound makes it again

First LS41 is my third headset from Lucidsound, the others are LS40 and LS35X. Unfortunately, my LS40 broke next to the ear cup, but was replaced by Lucidsound within a few days without any complaints. I ended up giving them to a family member when trying something different. I got the LS35X while playing on Xbox and I really liked it. I ended up selling my Xbox and headset and buying a PS4 Pro. So enter the LS41, which I knew I wanted from previous experiences with Lucidsound. The headset is very similar to the LS40 but with a slight improvement in my opinion. Drivers are better tuned, games and music now sound crisper and cleaner. The new oval ear pads seem better to me, although I think the cooling gel is a gimmick. They feel cool for 5-10 minutes and then behave like any other ear pads. However, they are very comfortable right from the start, so I won't complain about that. The mic is crystal clear from what others have told me. Also still a big fan of how Lucidsound handles headset muting. It's as simple as tapping the right earbud to mute the mic or the left earbud to mute the game. In addition, the voice guide equalizer settings make it easy to know exactly what equalizer settings you are using. My only nitpick, and it was inherited from the LS40, and worse this time in my opinion, is the headset receiver. Again, it's too thick to plug into the USB port on the front of the PS4 Pro. Although this time they've already added an extension that lets you use the front USB ports, it sticks out too much and just sits awkwardly. My solution was to move the external hard drive from the back to one of the front ports and plug the receiver into the rear USB port. Looks better and works just as well. Lucidsound should look at HyperX, Logitech or Sony and just learn how to make a USB receiver, which of course fits into the front ports. However, I highly recommend the LS41 if you only own a PS4 or multiple consoles. If you only have one Xbox One, save some money and buy the LS35X. Direct connection to console and no cable required for chat. Air. A bit disappointing as it looks like crap sticking out the front and looks like an accident but it works and stays cool for hours. I really wish Lucidsound would just make a full-thickness USB receiver that plugged easily into the PS4 Pro. all night. The headset either won't connect or emits a loud buzzing noise that can be resolved by disconnecting and reconnecting the receiver. It also happens during gaming sessions, which is weird. My PS4 is hardwired to my modem and I don't use any wireless devices that might interfere. I contacted Lucidsound and they offered to return the device for another one. I might just stick with my Hyperx Cloud Flight as it works great although I lose the surround sound
