To be clear I bought "night driving goggles". Those with amber tinted clear lenses, no sunglasses. Magnifying lenses are very small and placed very low so they don't limit or interfere with your distance vision at all. You can almost forget they're there, but when you need them to read something in front of you, you'll tilt your head sharply, which can be annoying. I bought them for paragliding and they are PERFECT for that. I have full vision with good eye protection and increased contrast in heavy overcast conditions without the obscuration you would get with sunglasses, and the loupes are in the correct position so I can look down my flight deck and read my instruments clearly without being distracted will . move your head at all.
