The sum of features, ease of use and small footprint of a multifunction device does not match the cost of this particular device. Print quality is minimal sufficient; quite acceptable for the price of the device and ink. Some documents may need to be reprinted due to ink stains. This is what I would expect from a budget printer and on that basis I can recommend Brother's non-duplex single function printers. However, I cannot recommend this duplex multifunction printer. This printer/scanner can be easily installed incorrectly, resulting in all functions not working except basic simplex printing. It is not easy to install the device properly and it installs a lot of malware. The working scanner is sufficient to read documents. It's neither clearly bad nor good enough for digitizing images. The scanning interface is cumbersome. The copy function does not improve or degrade the combined scan and print functions.
