As my hands shake due to an essential tremor, I had my niece apply them for me. They went through my ear lobe easily, but the backs fell out and onto the floor instead of attaching to the earring as they were supposed to so had to be found and sanitized before they could be attached. If that had not happened, I would have given. Them 4 stars.Yes, I would recommend them to a friend.

So. I received it this morning and I figured this would be super easy to use and did it right away. The first ear was a breeze. I was like wow this didn’t even hurt. The second ear. it went half way thru then wouldn’t go any further. The "gun” was jammed. The earring was half way into my ear and the earring was bent. cook. I had too shove the rest thru and rip the back out of the gun and put it in. So ya. That was cool.

My friend pierced her kid’s ears and recommended this kit. I wanted to pierce another spot on my ear lobe. The first one was a little high, but they’re single use and didn’t mind pulling it out and using the other for better placement. My second try was better. The breakaway pieces didn’t break off, I had to pop them off with my fingernail. Fairly easy to use on myself. Probably would be better if I had someone else do it for me.

Although this was easy and convenient, I would not use these earrings if you don’t want to get an infection. Steel is very bad for piercings and it is always recommended to get stainless steel or titanium. After piercing my ears they have been throbbing, hot, and itchy ALL SIGNS OF INFECTION. As soon as I changed them to titanium piercings they were better.

Bought these to pierce my 9 year old daughters ears. Not gonna lie, was totally nervous. Didn’t wanna hurt my baby girl. But they worked well. They can stick and not push the stud all the way through to where it hooks into the back. But we just finished pushing it through and peeled the back off and attached it. I was a little leery ordering this device to pierce my ears. I live on an island and don't have any place to go that does piercing. It was painless and quick, the fear was getting everything started. Immediately fell apart off the gun soon as we went to squeeze onto my earlobe. That is not safe, that could seriously injury someone. I also than went to check out the other gun and it did the sand thing. Smh, I kept the earrings and disposed the gun. I do not recommend

The ear piercing gun was very easy to use. Quick, and painless. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone who wants to do a quick ear piercing at home.

Just did my teenage son's ears because he didn't want to spend the money at Claire's and he knew I'd done mine with needles and ice cubes when I was a teen. I figured this was a little more sterile than that. We used a sharpie and then went NEXT to that mark (not through it because I didn't think that was a good idea). Just got these today, easy enough that my boyfriend who is such an anxious mess was able to do them! the reason that i didn't give 5 stars was because after a couple hours, one of the studs fell out :c not good! my boyfriend superglued it but I took it out, and a mess and a lot of pain later, it's fixed, but not very well. Ordered these to pierce my granddaughters ears, first of all, I ordered them on a Thursday evening and they arrived in Sunday. So, super fast arrival. She was very nervous, but when we were finally able to do it, she couldn't believe they were already pierced. Very little pain, just a quick moment of sting. The only warning I would give is that this is addictive. I bought one and then I bought another right away. For all the babies out there like me, you just feel a pinch and then you're pierced. Do it quickly and accurately with a marking. Ice your lobes if you want to numb them a bit but it's not necessary. Awesome product!
