Over the past few years I have purchased this item (from this listing) in Rust, Ivory and now Gray and am surprised at the lack of consistent quality. Four stars anyway because my cats love these dens, but the ivory is much thicker and plush than the gray I just got which feels very thin and almost like cheap felt. The ivory also held up better than the rusted one, which split open at the seams exposing the inner foam. If I had had input into the redesign, I would have made the bottom part out of a heavier fabric, since it's now made out of some very thin and flimsy material - more like the material USPS uses for those flimsy mailing envelopes. . But despite these complaints, two out of five of my cats live in their igloos and the other two use them occasionally, so this is a success. They don't smell bad and aren't an eyesore, making this an even greater asset to cat enrichment. If they were more expensive I probably wouldn't recommend them, but for less than twenty bucks my cats happily raise their paws. that's reassuring. Both ivory and gray stand up to regular use by cats. Will definitely be ordering more of these despite the thin underlayer.
