Review on Valtcan Titanium Camping Grill: 2.0mm Thick Sturdy Folding Plate with Half Open Grate Design for Over Fire Cooking by Brian Gopalan

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Does the job, not without flaws.

The really big downside was that it was a WAVE. You expect it to be perfectly flat (and I'm sure that's the design intent) but mine was wavy, it wasn't really perfectly flat anywhere. Not to say it's useless, no, you can still cook on it, but you have to be very careful with eggs or other things that could spill or roll off if you position it wrong. I can try bending mine a bit so it's a bit concave, that might at least keep the food from rolling. Aside from the lack of a flat surface, this is a good kit. Titanium is biologically non-reactive for those who want to know the benefits of using it in something like a BBQ grill. That said, nothing hurts you quite like Teflon or aluminum. Titanium is the ideal metal in my opinion as it is perfectly safe, stronger and more fatigue resistant than steel or aluminum and unlike aluminum it requires very 'low volume' to achieve this strength. weak so you can adjust them a bit to be a little "busier" in the top position. That's not difficult. Overall, apart from being a bit wavy, this is a pretty decent little camping/hiking grill, albeit a bit unwieldy for the latter. Just make sure you don't have a wavy shape that will prevent the food from rolling.
