The flash is noticeable but fast enough not to be distracting, and the lights are noticeably brighter than my regular brake lights. I will probably upgrade the rest of my running lights with these LEDs in the future. I noticed that one LED bulb didn't fit as tightly as the other, but I was able to put it in the socket and it didn't fall out. . I also used dielectric grease on all of the pins hoping this would help keep a good connection free of moisture. Update 05/29/2019: An LED that did not fit properly stopped working reliably even after trying to tighten the connection. . I ended up spending over $40 to replace the lamp wire harness and figured it was tight enough to hold the electrical contacts in place and continue to function properly. However, I only found out yesterday that the other bulb had moved too far. This is unacceptable for a traffic light. THE POLICE WILL STOP YOU. Face at a 45 degree angle hoping the contacts are no longer loose. I like LEDs, their brightness and blinking, but this discrepancy overshadows any of their benefits that you don't have to worry about using a traditional brake light.
