I needed a dimmable smart lighting solution for my home that didn't require a separate smart hub or fiddling with electrical wires. It seemed like a good deal; From what I've looked for, they tick the box and offer RGB control on top of that. I was hesitant as there weren't many reviews, but I took the plunge and bought a pair. Installation is easy if you have built-in lighting. Basically you just screw the adapter into the socket, then plug in the light and plug it in. Ready. But not so fast - read on. Unfortunately, only the physical installation pleased me. Let's start with the fact that the build quality of this flashlight is not the best. Compared to the existing recessed lights I had, they were significantly lighter in body and of lower quality. However, I suspect most people won't notice. That being said, I bought them for function rather than aesthetics. However, they are 0/2 because the product doesn't seem to be very reliable. After many strenuous attempts, I could not get it to work. Although I really, really wanted to. What they offer for the price is amazing. Unfortunately, this may be too good to be true. They report that this light can only connect to a 2.4GHz network. I have changed my router settings accordingly. Also, you need to download the app and register before setting up the device. I did that too (the app doesn't have a positive rating right now, by the way). I followed the instructions for T but no matter what I did I couldn't connect the first light out of the box. "It's okay, maybe it's just a fool," I thought. However, doubts were replaced by despair and disappointment, since even the second light bulb did not go into pairing mode after applying the voltage. The manual says I just have to set the switch to "Easy Setup" mode. Not so, iLintek. I eventually got the second light to finally go into pairing mode, but only after various (seemingly random) on and off patterns. It says you can toggle it on and off three times to put it in pairing mode and it actually did (once) but I had to find the timing right apparently. After the marathon, I was able to connect the device to my Wi-Fi network and the app stopped responding and tried to communicate with the device. I was hopeful when the device showed up in my Wi-Fi router's MAC address table. However, after a minute the app failed to register the device, with the message "Failed to get device" where the only option was to acknowledge my frustration by clicking "Got it". But I really didn't. It never went into pairing mode again. And so he returned to his shipping crate to quickly return to his shopping cart in the Revain warehouse with the others. This is my first review of Revain, shame the review is negative. At this point I would say if you are thinking about getting them. They may or may not work for you, but in my experience I find that the error rate is too high and the software/firmware is not reliable enough.
