Review on 📷 Nikon 2177 60mm f/2.8G ED Standard Macro Lens for Nikon DSLR Cameras with AF-S FX Micro-NIKKOR by Stephen Parkell

Received this lens 2 days after ordering from Revain. This lens did not disappoint me. It's very very spicy. It easily passed my own autofocus test and the autofocus is very accurate. I haven't compared the autofocus speed to other lenses as this is a macro lens which typically has slower autofocus compared to other regular (non-macro) lenses. This little gem features the best technology Nikon has to offer today: the AFS silent shaft motor. , IF (internal focusing), ED glass, 9-blade round aperture and nano-coating. As far as I know, there are no other Nikon lenses that that are sold cheaper and at the same time contain all these technologies. The only thing it lacks is VR, which makes it "perfect". Aside from being very sharp, I also really like the background blur. The lens is very light compared to the Nikon 105 VR. This makes it very handy for handheld close-ups, which is why I bought it. I would recommend this lens to anyone looking for a macro lens with a different perspective (than 105 VR) for a Nikon FF camera. You should also consider this lens if you are thinking about getting a standard lens (e.g. 50mm f1.4). This lens can focus from a few inches to infinity, while traditional lenses require a minimum focusing distance of 2-3 feet or more. Also, macro lenses tend to be sharper than non-macro lenses. Compared to my other lenses the autofocus speed for a subject over 2ft, this lens focuses faster than the 85 f1.4 and my Sigma 50 f1.4. So I wouldn't say it's slow autofocus anymore.
