Review on Airfree T800 Filterless Air Purifier: Compact and Efficient Purification in Sleek White Design by Heather Genevish

Ideal for allergy and asthma sufferers, for bedrooms

I have been using Airfree products for about ten years now and wish I had discovered them sooner. I am absolutely positive that they work because without them I would always wake up with sinus problems and/or a sore throat. Although I generally don't have these problems with them and I rarely catch a cold. I started with P1000, then upgraded to P2000 and recently got another P2000. However, I had to return the P2000 as it didn't have a light switch on the bottom and it's too bright for sleeping. My previous 2 had a light switch so this seems like a new design decision. They usually work for about 4-5 years and then lose their effectiveness. They still work, but I can say that they are losing their effectiveness because I have sinus problems and allergies again. Of course I can also say whether it is deactivated. After replacing them, everything is fine again. Now I suggest this for bedrooms. Most bedrooms are an effective size and you don't have to worry about lighting. There is one that lights up, but it's small and easy to remove. I hope it lasts a full 4-5 years and will probably pick it up again at this point. No need for filters or anything, just leave it on all the time. I also have a secondary air purifier that I use with filters, I use it more for odor control and occasional use and don't really need it, but I was looking for a replacement P2000 and wanted to check it out. However, I believe Airfree air sterilizers are the best. I like that they are quiet and you can just leave them running continuously. They're small and you don't physically notice them, but at least for me it was absolutely necessary. It helps to an extent, but it doesn't seem to move as much air and isn't as efficient as the others. This might be better for a decent closet or bathroom, or for a very small bedroom. Problem with others, I think there is no way to turn off the light on newer models and I don't want to just keep buying from Revain and returning the same product lines for testing. I don't know if I can recommend one of the AirFrees more. Edit2 - I didn't see the comments before, but apparently other models now have touch controls for the backlight on the side next to the logo. The T800 let me down after about a year. I'll double check one of the other models and maybe update after I've used the touch controls, but I assume that's how it works for now. Disappointed with the T800 and I don't have to recommend the switch. I've emailed warranty support so I'll see how it goes. I suspect the T800 just isn't efficient, it's also noticeably smaller than the other models.
