This blazer makes a great base for a suit! The fabric is comfortable, a bit heavy and has a very nice dark blue color. It is beautifully lined and the cut out at the waist is very flattering. I bought it with a navy blue straight skirt and it looks very professional when paired. However, this blazer can be used as a standalone jacket and looks great with grey, brown or printed bottoms. I always wear blazers a size up as I can't stand wearing anything tight over another shirt but this one was a bit big and a 6 would probably fit as well. Therefore, calibration may not be necessary.
