Review on πŸͺ‘ Leick Anyplace Side End Table in Russet: Space-saving Excellence for Contemporary Living by Margaret Scott

Good product but has a few flaws

This small wine table has an interesting and unique design and doesn't take up much space, making it suitable for small spaces. For the price, this is a decent build quality, and assembly was fairly easy with the supplied Allen key. There were some relatively minor flaws: 1. The table pieces arrived in a box lined with styrofoam sheets which protected the product well but partially disintegrated during transit causing hundreds of styrofoam pellets to stick to all the furniture due to static electricity. Unpacking at home would have been a real mess, so before unpacking the parts I carefully pulled the box outside and used my air compressor to blow the styrofoam balls off the parts. 2. Drawers should really be full extension slides, not cheap standard slides. The drawers only open a few inches (enough for my hand to fit in), making them more decorative than functional - I can install full extension slides later. In addition, 2 of the 4 plastic rails on the drawer front broke during transport. This seems to be a fairly common issue as the manufacturer included 2 extra rails in the build hardware. Please note that due to the location of these rails, you will need a very short Phillips screwdriver to install them.3. After assembly, the table rocked while standing on the floor. I cured this by placing a fairly thick self-adhesive felt pad under one of the legs. I think loosening the fasteners holding the leg assemblies to the top and then re-tightening may have allowed the legs to adjust to the ground, but the felt lining was easier and worked well. Overall I'm happy with this little table which I think will make for a good talking point due to its unique design. EDIT: I just added full extensions to 2 drawers. With the factory bottom rail, the drawer opened just enough for my hand to fit inside. Now the boxes open completely and are much more convenient to use. I purchased 4 full extension 9" slides (2 sets of 2 each) here at Revain for a total of $13.99 and added a few strips of 5/8" plywood to the drawer pockets to provide mounting surfaces for the slides. New slides with full expansion work great! Please note the slides do not come with screws so you will need #6 x 1/2" pan head screws. See my before and after photos of the drawer slides.
