This is awesome, wish I had heated grips on my bike much sooner! Installed on XT250 2014. If it's cold but not slippery, I can ride to work in spring and late fall. I can get my dogs to walk at night in mid-January without stopping and warming my hands every few minutes. I like the different temperature settings, the highest setting is too hot to handle with bare hands but perfect for zero weather with heavy gloves. My dad put them on as a surprise when I was gone for a week. He said they were easy to install but they fit snugly so he didn't use a lot of glue. It was a big mistake, which I only found out when I stopped in the middle of a (fortunately empty) intersection. I had big problems with the throttle for a few days, it was very difficult to turn and it was difficult to get a reasonable speed. As I stopped at the intersection, I realized what was going on. The handle has come loose from the plastic at the bottom. Then the heated grip cable tightened as it kept spinning in my hand as I tried to accelerate. It's stupid of me not to check carefully before the trip, when I started to have problems, a serious accident could have happened! Anyway, I removed the crank and rode home with the plastic throttle (not recommended, terribly impractical). Then I put a huge amount of glue on it and everything has been fine ever since. There were no problems with the left grip. I regularly check if I can move the handles. Dad wired the heated grips to the battery, not the ignition. Once, in the middle of summer, I accidentally pressed the button. It was 95 degrees and very bright, so I didn't notice it right away. Luckily he was away long enough to donate blood and not for a full day of work so the battery didn't run out. As long as I remember to turn them off after use, it's fine.
