Worked great on my 2003 Pontiac Grand Am GT, went to a locksmith who charged $25 to program with the SCAN TOOL! Don't think you can do it yourself without a scanner! Locksmiths are always cheaper than dealers, all dealer quotes I got were $45+ and required an appointment. Support your local locksmith and give them a call! Works perfectly. Was upset when I didn't get the car key when I bought it, even though I knew it was supposed to have 2 keys that came with the car. End of story for $15 I got this and for $25 I programmed it. Good assortment! High quality.
