Yes, this is a terrible monitor. With 7 inch books I had to zoom in to get the right viewing angle, otherwise it seemed like I was constantly looking at the bottom of the screen. It took me a long time to play around with settings, color, gamma, contrast and brightness and it's still not quite right. Some things are good now, like just using the internet and reading web pages. Other things like watching movies, YouTube or playing games are terrible. The problem is that the screen is too bright at the bottom and too dark at the top. And there is absolutely nothing you can fix. This is very noticeable with solid black on the screen, appearing gray on the bottom and horribly contrasting black on top. Don't buy it if you work with art or graphics or want a good gaming experience. On the other hand, I had a 3 year warranty and it's a cheap 21.5" monitor.
