Not detachable in the traditional sense
Do not buy if you don't want the bulge at the end of the camera to protrude all the time. My first filter got stuck and it took a lot of effort to remove the filter. Then I decided to uninstall this product. It took an hour of manually manipulating the lens in a way I never want to manhandle to actually get the 3M tape off. I found that just twisting and pushing back and forth slowly gave it some support. Now I hope that my camera is still okay.
