Thematic and easy to carry.4 1/2 stars.

If the intent is to have an 'inventory' of equipment, items, spells, etc. then this can work very well.+ I've had some 'China-special faux leather journals' from eBay and for around $6 they did the job. This feels a bit heftier even though it too is faux leather.+ The sleeves/pockets themselves I was concerned would rip. But they too feel pretty thick and can handle some cards going in-n-out.My third picture is one side full with 30-cards. I was expecting a possible 'design' flaw and they…

Pros
  • 8.62 x 5.83 x 1.46 inches
Cons
  • The product is not waterproof or protective against spills, making it prone to damage

FANTASTIC for my sister's druid

I know there are all types of digital programs out there, but in our DnD gameplay world, we always accommodate for the unexpected. Living in a rural area, where things like spotty internet and power outages happen more often than you think, we always have physical backups of spells, character sheets, campaign prep, and the like. This spellbook cardholder was a fantastic acquisition! With the help of Avery labels (22822) and a free template downloaded to photoshop, we were able to create, print,

Pros
  • Bonus gift card included in package is worthless. Other than that, as advertised.
Cons
  • Too bulky to easily carry around during gameplay

Very neat D&D "book "

This is a great gift for your D&D enthusiast. It looks really cool and the dragon clasp with the leather rope really makes it "pop". The book itself has cards that you can write on and then insert into the card slots. I was told by our 11 yo that this is great as you can write down spells that you commonly use with their effects thus eliminating the need to bring multiple books to the D&D session to refer to. It was a hit as a birthday present!

Pros
  • Unique Design - The spell card spellbook set is pocket-sized and very easy to carry, great for party, travel, hiking, etc. You can even operate it with just one hand. We hear the advice from dnd masters, the pagination design of this reference cards holder ensures that at least four different types of cards can be stored
Cons
  • The product is not intuitive for first-time users and lacks clear instructions

Feel fancy for cheap

I got this as a player and it works great. I feel fancier pulling this out, which let's be real is the only reason to buy it. Its well made for the price, and I enjoy it a lot. It has held up well for moderate use and has enough slots for a player. It won't work for a DM, nor will it be a legacy item passed down to a future generation, but it adds to the ambiance at the game table.

Pros
  • This is a funny way to organize your spells and it's actually pretty sturdy
Cons
  • Not actually leather as described, seems ok otherwise

This book is very nice. The string that wraps around is the usual type of waxed string you find with leather products, the dragon charm is metal and has nice detail for how small it is, and the leather is soft and crafted nicely. The pockets inside have a matte finish to them and there's almost enough to fit every warlock spell card from both the arcane and xanathar decks. I had 3 cards left out after sticking my learned spells at character level 3 in a different and smaller pocket book. At…

Pros
  • Collectible Display & Storage
Cons
  • The cards are difficult to insert and remove from the slots, leading to frustration

Good Value Overall (Cards included are nigh-useless)

This "spellbook" is surprisingly well-made compared to a lot of other options available--especially for the cost. The dragon pendant that holds it closed is surprisingly detailed and well-cast. The faux leather is convincing. The only caveat here is the deck of 63 cards. They are not properly "dry erase." Sadly, since they were intended as dry erase they also will not take ink from a standard gel pen very well and smears badly. Perhaps if you were VERY careful you could use them, but I doubt it

Pros
  • Effortless Reference: The holder allows for effortless reference during gameplay, making it easier for players to quickly grab the needed card and continue on with their turn. This saves precious time and makes the entire game experience smoother
Cons
  • Product lacks adaptation for various card sizes and types used in the game

Nice idea, but cheaply made

I'm using this for the spell cards for my druid. It has room for 120 cards, so it fits all the ones my character needs. The book looks nice, but it has issues. The cord is a little short to properly close the book when it is full. More importantly, the pages are flimsy. Just putting the cards in started tearing some of the sleeves, so frequently swapping cards is not a possibility. They could also be improved by lengthening the pages so they are easier to turn. Overall, a poor value for the…

Pros
  • Very high quality and the extra cards are very helpful!
Cons
  • The material used is cheap and appears likely to wear down over time

Perfect for players but mind the cord

I'm a big fan of using cards to organize my tabletop game content. Specifically, when I played 4th Edition Dungeons & Dragons, cards were critical in determining all my options. That technique has served me well in other versions of D&D; reducing actions to cards has helped me teach the game to my kids, such that I created my own action cards for that purpose and had them printed up. They're a perfect fit for this card holder. The card holder is a handsome faux leather holder with a stitched-in…

Pros
  • Albums
Cons
  • The product is not easily accessible for left-handed players

Well made, attractive

Blame that goofy TV show on Netflix, but two of my boys have weekly D&D nights in our basement, so the accoutrements are beginning to pile up. Most are thankfully shareable. This one, however is not which has caused a few problems because it is a nicely made and useful item. If you’re a fan of wizardy type characters this is a nice thing to have.

Pros
  • Made of high-quality materials, this holder is both durable and lightweight, making it easy to bring with you wherever you go. You won't have to worry about it breaking or getting bogged down your bag
Cons
  • The size is awkward and difficult to store in a small area such as a gaming bag

Don't put form above function

This is one of those items that, in theory, should be really cool to have but in practice has minimal functionality. It will definitely generate some "Oh, that’s cool!” comments when first pulled out at the gaming table but won’t have any real practical implications during gameplay. The wallet comes with a stack of cards pre-printed with a parchment background. You can write your spells on the cards and then slip them into the card holders. The first problem, however, is that the plastic for…

I like how it looks a lot

I like the concept of this a lot. I play D&D irl as well as online, and I liked the thought of having a tangible "spellbook" for my character(s). I like the way it looks, I like the little dragon catch on the front that holds it closed, I like the layout on the inside so you can fit in so many cards, and I like the cards themselves except for one small thing. They don't have a matte finish. These are coated and slick, and even though it makes them look really nice, it's going to be harder to…

Pros
  • Stylish Design: With its sleek and sophisticated design, the DND Spellbook Cards Holder is not only practical but also looks great on any gaming table. Its design is stylish enough to match just about any aesthetic or taste, adding another layer of enjoyment to your gaming sessions
Cons
  • The organization system can be confusing and actually create more clutter for players

Revainrating 5 out of 5

11 year old loves it.

My son loves this. Fake leather but he doesn't care. The dragon clasp is RAD and journal closes with leather string. The cards are blank so you can fill in whatever you want.

Pros
  • Deck of Cards - The RPG spell cards holder includes 60 customizable double-sided with dragon patterns, which are 3.5'' * 2.5'' (poker-size). You can customize your epic battle freely, just a pen, and your imagination
Cons
  • The product is only compatible with DND and does not accommodate for other card games

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Works great! - my new review

But the weird little decorative doodad keeps falling off, and which is annoying, as that's there to keep it securely closed. Other than that flaw, this is pretty solid. I am confused however, what the "thickness" and "sheerness" ratings wanted from me. Those seem like opposing categories, and sound more like something for socks than a cardholder spellbook.

Pros
  • Toys & Games
Cons
  • The design lacks creativity and is boring for a product related to fantasy gameplay

Awesome Products for D&D!

I am a big D&D Nerd! My character is Kenzi is a Dark Elf Wizard and with all my spells this spell card holder is epic! That's my feedback.

Pros
  • Great but not dry erase-able
Cons
  • Does not offer any additional features beyond standard organization

Revainrating 3 out of 5

It's great overall, but.

Product is nice and works as intended, but the dragon came corroded/tarnished. Takes away some of the appeal. The size is too large for storage in a backpack, making transportation difficult.

Pros
  • 12.7 ounces
Cons
  • The size is too large for storage in a backpack, making transportation difficult

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great quality for my opinion

The leather and dragon decal on this are a solid five stars for me. A large part of game play is finding mystical stuff, so this card holder (and the cards) are the perfect aesthetic. It’s compact enough where you’re not carrying a full binder, but large enough where it’s functional. Quite honestly, I’d love to get a matching journal.

Pros
  • Collectible Toys
Cons
  • No padding or protection for the cards, increasing the likelihood of damage during transportation

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great Quality on my review.

The book is lovely, sturdy, and the sleeves are strong. The cards are amazing, coated, but still easy to write on. 10 out of 10.

Pros
  • Loved this will be buying more soon
Cons
  • Not customizable beyond the standard organization dividers

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Does a great job best in my review

Depending on what character you are playing (got two of these for my D & D Cleric spell cards) it allows you easy access to the spell cards. Also, the blank cards it came with are handy for anything you need to have on hand as well

Pros
  • Absolutely great perfect for keeping spell cards and magic item cards in check for the group
Cons
  • Has an unreasonably high price point for such a basic product

Revainrating 5 out of 5

An Absolute Hit! good for me

This was an early Christmas present for my 11 year old granddaughter who is a budding D & D player. Knowing nothing about D & D, and she had said something about a spell book, I stumbled on this and gave it a shot. She loves it. That is all I can say about it. She loves it.

Pros
  • I love the spell books they are great
Cons
  • Limited capacity for storage of a large number of spell cards

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fun Organizer for my opinion

My son and daughter have recently begun playing D&D and when I saw this spell book holder, I knew they would love it. Basically is comes with a bunch of blank spell cards, and plastic sleeves to hold the spells as you complete the cards. Think of the card organizers baseball card collectors use, and it's in that same ballpark.

Pros
  • I like the leather cover and the ammount of cards it holds.
Cons
  • Heavy for its size - could be tiring to carry around for extended periods
