Does what I paid for

Keeps my son's school lunch warm. Remember to preheat it by pouring hot water in it and letting it sit for about 10 minutes before adding food.

Pros & cons

  • Weight
  • Big price

Daughter loves it - storage and organization

Bought for my 8th grader. Follow the directions to "preheat" with hot water before adding hot food and this thermos didn't disappoint. 5 hours later my daughter said her lunch was hot! Not warm. hot! Elegant design and high quality. Excellent purchase!

Pros & cons

  • Absolute Legend
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Excellent quality! Comes with spoon

Great for soups! I love that it comes with a spoon that folds up, stays in place and sanitizes. If you want food to keep hot for several hours, you need to pour boiling water into the container for about 5 minutes, then place and close the food. . It is of very good quality and very easy to clean.

Pros & cons

  • Consistent test results
  • Large and bulky

Stayed hot for hours on my back porch in 30 degree Montana weather

I did a heat test and then a cold test. Keeps the water hot for many hours. Bought it for lunch while skiing in Montana. Covid won't let us into the Big Mountain Restaurant. Just wanted something hot while eating in the car in the parking lot. Next time you go skiing, the soup should be hot. cold test. Put ice and water in a thermos and leave on the kitchen counter. Ice was still present after 24 hours. Should satisfy all our needs.

Pros & cons

  • Great price
  • Not bad

Don't waste money. Lifetime warranty is a joke!

Love the size, price and easy cleaning. However, it doesn't keep my food warm. I packed my lunch at 6:30 and ate at 11:30. Dinner was neither hot nor warm. More than room temperature. I contacted the company because the insert said it had a lifetime warranty, but the only option I was told was to preheat my food bottle with hot water, then drain the water, dry it, and add the heated food. It took a lot longer to cook dinner than I would have liked, but I tried anyway. However, it makes no difference in the temperature of my food. A replacement would have been nice, but no one suggested.

Pros & cons

  • Regular price
  • So far so good

Would have taken a star for warmth but the bottle is unique, roomy and food safe.

I was really looking for a tin can where the plastic doesn't touch/address the hot food. The inner lid is made of stainless steel, not a fake shiny material, but really solid and surrounded by silicone. The jar is wide so I could eat out of it without the weird twisting motions to get the rest of what was in it. I didn't give a full five stars as it claims to keep you warm for 8 hours. Interestingly, the glass was still warm, but my food was slightly warm after 8 hours. The package includes a cute folding spoon that fits into the lid (which has a vacuum release valve) and doubles as a bowl. The lid has a retractable handle so you can carry it around and slide it down after stowing away before lunch. Overall this is a great product, love the lunch and soup containers and this is my choice for hot meals as the stainless steel lid is food safe as is the entire inner bottle.

Gives you a large size with no height

When trying to buy large lunch boxes for my older children I found I gotten a few that were too big for their lunch bags. This container was large (it would have been better if it was a bit smaller, to be honest) but not too tall, allowing it to fit in a standard lunch bag. I preheat it by pouring boiling water over it for a few minutes while I prepare the hot food that is kept in the jar. Seems to be very well made, as does the ventilated upper. My child uses Spork several times a week and it is holding up well. While I would have preferred it to be a bit smaller, this pitcher got high marks for quality construction, heat retention, and ease of cleaning. We have had disputes in the past that did not remain open; The hinges were weak and you had to hold the utensils in a certain way to keep them from folding on you. This fork has a very light pivot and holds up much better. I chose this jar because it's big, not too tall, easy to clean and has ventilation for safety. I'm definitely…

Keeps stew hot. You just need to do the recommended preheating.

Here's what I would like to know by reading this review: It's quite large, which is hard to tell from the pictures. I can easily put my hand in to wash it. I pour in a few inches of boiling water, let it sit for 3-4 minutes, add my hot food and T YES: after a few hours, my food is still so hot that I have to be careful about eating it! The little pen is cute but I still use my lunch box. and I'm not going to use plastic on hot food anyway, so I'm leaving it at home. tap water and let sit for 10 minutes before adding the soup/stew. The food was disappointingly cold. I read the directions so I tried boiling hot water and after a few weeks I found that I only needed an inch, not a full thermos, to "preheat" it. Of course, a little "steam release" can splatter food particles, so use caution when dressing for work. I am happy with this product and recommend it and encourage frustrated people to use boiling water and try again.
