I'm a big fan of using cards to organize my tabletop game content. Specifically, when I played 4th Edition Dungeons & Dragons, cards were critical in determining all my options. That technique has served me well in other versions of D&D; reducing actions to cards has helped me teach the game to my kids, such that I created my own action cards for that purpose and had them printed up. They're a perfect fit for this card holder.The card holder is a handsome faux leather holder with a stitched-in plastic card-page holders, four per page for a total of 120 cards. It's more than enough for most spellcasters who use a card for each spell. It's sturdy enough to carry with you, not too unwieldy, and handsome enough that it will fit in any fantasy game.The included cards are blank. That means you need to draw on them, but I can't imagine anyone is actually going to do this. It's a nice gesture but not really very useful. You'd be better served with sheets you could print yourself.The other issue is that the cowhide cord that runs around the booklet to keep it closed came untied. The cute little bronze-style dragon fell off. I had to tie it again, and it's very important to tie it carefully. Too large a knot and the dragon no longer keeps the book closed (because the dragon's tail can't loop around the cord to keep it closed); too small a knot and the dragon keeps slipping off. And given that there are cards in this booklet, it's important to keep it closed.That aside, this is an excellent card holder for players. Dungeon Masters will need something bigger.
