You can take the screws from the vesa mount and use them for the stand, but I recommend using a vesa mount for a third-party monitor if you want to orient the monitor up and down. I recommend this monitor, 27" is too big for me but with the 1000R curve I don't feel like it's too big, I feel like the picture surrounds me like in a cinema. I can on the same monitor play and work now i am happy colors and picture quality are better than my previous LG 27GL83A-B ips gaming monitor.
