This part works great for me! Not wanting to throw away my favorite headset, I decided to at least fix it myself. Shipping was a little more expensive than I would have liked, but I can't complain. Pretty solid stuff. By the way, it's important to note that pin 3 is actually ground and pin 4 is microphone. I discovered this when playing music with pins 1 and 2 connected. When testing audio for ground it matched pin 3 jack (touch copper wire to metal). When I connected the ground wire to the fourth pin, the audio was severely distorted, confirming it was the third pin. To make sure pin 4 is for the microphone I just did a microphone test. I hope that the seller corrects his description and photo.
