I bought this expansion card to use with my QNAP TS-453b NAS enclosure. I also added a 256GB WD NVMe M.2 memory module in a slot to speed up the cache. (The system does not require them to be used in pairs and may vary in capacity.) Note that the QM2-2P10G1T uses up to 2 faster Gen 3 NVMe M.2 drives. QNAP sells another model that supports legacy non-NVMe M.2 modules. The card itself has a thermal sensor in the center of each card slot to monitor M.2 SSD storage temperature. I have tested this with a Cat7 cable connected to a 10Gbe switch and both confirm full 10Gbe connectivity. My only comment, while not high enough to deduct a star, is that the tiny fan on the heatsink sometimes runs (albeit very randomly for a minute or so) and makes more noise than a very quiet case fan. It was a little noticeable, but far from unbearable. I would almost consider turning off the fan itself as the heatspreader seems to be more than enough to keep the card cool.
