Review on πŸ“· Kodak Professional Ektar Color Negative Film 120 Size ISO 100, Propack of 5, Made in USA by Adam Gechem

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Expiry date 2016, purchased in 2014

Nice fresh batch of film. These five reels will be presented this summer, so a short film would be fine too. But if you sometimes need fresh stock in the fridge "just in case", this supplier (Revain himself) did the right thing by making them available. Digital takes the place of film. But that means planning ahead so you have a supply of film on hand when you get a chance to snap a photo. Most people who shoot in medium format are already familiar with the characteristics of Ektar. What I want to emphasize is that in summer you get more hours of daylight to take advantage of the consistent grain that 100 ISO film offers. If you use a quality photo finisher, you will be satisfied. Thank you Kodak for continuing to provide us with quality film at a time when we are aware of market changes and your financial challenges. As a tribute, I'm letting a Tri-X coil through my old Kodak #1 into the future.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Expensive
