We do a lot of water sports. I decided to invest in a waterproof camera so I wouldn't have to worry about taking my phone with me. Our favorite water sport is kayaking and I can attach it to the cord and just take great photos without worrying about it getting in the water. There is an optical and a digital zoom. It's also good for snorkeling as it's water resistant to 10 feet. I also let my 5 year old daughter use it for general photography as it is more durable.
