Has 13 months lasted For the money (less than $40) this is a good briefcase. Although not included in the description, it has expansion latches. I didn't want this feature but kept the case anyway. The latches are cast from cheap cast iron bronze and although I'm a neat tidy person, the latches broke within a week of being snapped. I believe if I had amortized the cost of the case over 13 months it wouldn't have been a "terrible" investment. I'm just annoyed that I now have to find a replacement as soon as possible. So. Buyers should be aware that closures require great care.
