No permanent solution
They are strong enough. Used them to replace and repair exhaust system parts on a 2000 Dodge Dakota V8 4x4. Clamps can break and deform from the heat of the exhaust itself. I wouldn't recommend checking a permanent fix or a quick fix. It won't help you get through.
