Not bad for a 4K camera

ANNKE support is almost useless. This camera appears to be running the same software as Hikvision, so you can get the secondary and main stream URLs for your security software. I made my own in Java and OpenCV so I can use my own CV and ML routines. With FFMPEG you can just copy the H265+ stream to a file without decoding/encoding steps, so unlike Blue Iris etc. you can run multiple cameras on a single board computer like Odroid XU4. Make sure you use TCP instead of UDP or you'll get some weird green artifacts in recorded videos with FFMPEG. I used a 120W PoE 1G switch in the attic so I can easily power multiple cameras. I drilled a 3/4 inch hole in the reveal and ran Cat 6 ribbon cable. I then covered the hole with aluminum tape and painted it. In the future, if necessary, it will be easy to pull out the wiring or replace the camera. .Only one connection at a time via a substream, otherwise an error occurs:<ResponseStatus version="2.0"><requestURL>/ISAPI/Streaming/channels/102/httpPreview</requestURL><statusCode>4</ statusCode ><statusString>Invalid Operation</statusString><subStatusCode>invalidOperation</subStatusCode></ResponseStatus>WARNING: I bought a second camera with the same firmware version and in 4K the max FPS was 12.5. Sent that back! All the cameras I've bought now have a maximum frame rate of 12.5 FPS. I've added a night photo so you can see the pixels that one of the reviews complained about. This only happens in total darkness. I think that's normal for this price range.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
