This is a solid mount but very poorly constructed. As others have said, the only way to raise or lower the mount is to rotate the mount. The silver handle only locks the shaft, it does not raise or lower the temple. Once the brace is next to my retractable brace, I can't rotate it to raise it for full contact. You must rotate the base to raise the mount. It hurts a lot when you're on mud or gravel. Look elsewhere if you don't want to mess with the wooden block in the holder and even then you'll have a hard time nailing it down.
