Great case! The pebbled leather looks very nice, the stitching is well finished and the protective frame that attaches the iPad to the case is well made - the volume and power buttons are tactile and the charging/speaker vents are very well aligned. . The plastic-rimmed slot holds the 2nd generation Apple Pencil perfectly, even with an additional pencil grip. The Apple Pencil's grip is obviously firmer, but the magnet still holds and the stylus snaps into place perfectly. And the Apple Pencil charges perfectly in the case with no issues (if for some reason you don't want your pen to charge, just rotate the pen so the flat side doesn't touch the edge of the iPad). I'd rather not have the little magnetic pull tab that wraps around front to back (see first and third photos), but that's just personal preference and I'm getting used to it! The case turns the iPad off when the lid is closed, which is nice too (because apparently iPads have been around for a long time, but not all cases can do that). Replaced another case with this one and I'm glad I did. The case I originally bought was a nice color, but the TPU frame that attaches the iPad to the case was too thin and flexible. This one feels a lot more protective without being bulky and is also very comfortable to use. The frame/case doesn't cover the screen at all which is nice. There was a small square of leather in the packaging so I'm guessing it's real leather. This is probably a leather strap, but it appears to be genuine leather with a soft micro-suede interior. The back of the plastic frame also feels nice and soft, almost velvety. When opened, there was no weird plastic odor or chemical smell like some faux leather bags. I've only had this case for a few weeks and it's still like new except the leather is a little softer which seems a good sign. This is the 4th iPad I've owned over the years and the 4th genuine leather case I've bought and I think this one will last as long as I need it without a replacement. I'll update my review if anything changes, but for now I'm happy! Great deal on a genuine leather case!
