Maybe the silicone is good enough, same as Garmin original, but I will never know as the locking mechanism is responsible for the watch strap not fitting that same bracelet, resulting in improper holding of the watch. Really sad, but it would be even sadder to lose or break my Garmin due to a loose strap latch. As seen in the picture the latch itself shortens when trying to move it to the other side which is not what you want to see. Conclusion: Not every Chinese product works as described
