Much better than Shemagh. Especially on windy and dusty days they are breathable but dustproof and protect my face and neck from sunburn while the breathable fabric handles these things much better than the 100% cotton Shemagh which is now intended for different uses than it always will be still kept in my Condor deployment bag. We have a very hot climate and it's great to have just in case. I plan to get one in olive drab and one in black later. Now I have three of these in Thane because of the desert and sunny climate where I live.
